Resumo

The present study had as object of study a higher education institution located in the interior of Amazonas and counted on the support of the qualitative and quantitative research, in order to evaluate the services offered in the institute. A structured questionnaire was used, with 22 assertions with five dimensions used in the SERVPERF method proposed by Cronin and Taylor (1992): tangibility, reliability, readiness, safety and empathy, which were used to measure the perception of clients in relation to the satisfaction with the services received at the Institute of Health and Biotechnology of the Federal University of Amazonas, located in the municipality of Coari, state of Amazonas, with 161 employees, in actual exercise, being Teachers and Administrative Technicians in Education, which offers seven undergraduate courses: Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Nutrition, Bachelor of Biotechnology, Bachelor of Nursing, Dual Degree in Mathematics and Physics, Dual Degree in Biology and Chemistry and Medicine. In order to consolidate the obtained data, we used the probabilistic technique for simple random sampling, with a 95% confidence margin and a tolerable sampling error of 7%. It was possible to detect a certain degree of satisfaction of ISB's servers regarding the services provided at the institute. This perception is demonstrated mainly in the dimensions of tangibility, reliability, readiness and empathy, but not in general. In the security dimension, although a median percentage agreed, partially or fully, with the assertions that included the institute to provide security in its environment, it was possible to detect an undeniable amount of servers that crave for greater security. In addition to this item, dissatisfactions have also been observed that interfere with the quality of the services provided, such as: lack of modern equipment, lack of an Internet with greater speed, lack of interconnection of the process system, which already works at headquarters and still does not contemplate the campuses, as a way to reduce the time and follow-up of the progress of these processes, which today still depends on the courier service via couriers, occurrence of assault and theft of multimedia equipment inside the ISB and other factors such as cultural shock , due to the fact that many servers are from other cities and states, due to the specificity of the courses offered.
