Brincadeira é coisa séria: o papel das práticas lúdicas na construção das representações socioambientais das crianças na Ilha do Careiro da Várzea (AM)

Abstract

The focus of this study is the child living in the Amazonian floodplain, on the banks of the Solimões/Amazonas River, especially in the region of the Terra Nova Coast - Community São Francisco, located in Careiro da Várzea - AM municipality. These social subjects attend the Municipal School Prof.ª Francisca Góes, considered the largest of this locality. This research had as objective to analyze, through playful practices, the socioenvironmental representations of the "territorialities" of the peasant children of this community. So that to reach this goal the methods used were: participant observation, field registration, informal conversations and drawings made by the children themselves. The analyzes were made from the drawings and verbalizations of the children about their representations. From these, it was inferred that the socio-environmental representations of the varzean children show through the ludic an endless forest, myths that reignify their play, their imaginary in the day to day, but also in their way of life. The lands, forests and waters, myths and symbols are symbolic aspects of the Amazonian imagination that are present in the children's games. The movements and places of play performed by children reveal the environment in which they live, because from the point of view of their totality, movement represents a factor of culture. The children's recreational repertoire is diversified and is carried out through free play in the Amazonian nature, where the movements happen spontaneously like jumping, jumping, kicking, climbing, throwing, swinging, running, constituting important elements for the cognitive and social construction of children, as well as their way of representing it in the socio-environmental context.
