Resumo

Secondary forests have important role in the conservation of biodiversity, ecosystems are rich, heterogeneous, complex and fragile. Knowing the dynamics of this vegetation is a fundamental step for the conservation of nature, on this evidence, this study analyzed the floristic composition and structure of Experimental Farm UFAM secondary forest. In which physiognomic-structural characterization of this ecosystem was realized, the descriptors phytosociological that helped define which species are essential when perhaps be demanded by management and recovery of this type of forest , due to its capacity for development and use of space as preferred habitat . In order to meet the floristic composition of the vegetation, four samples units were allocated plots of 100 x 100 m (10,000 m2) each. These units were divided into 20 subunits totaling 80 for a better inventory management. Three sample units were deployed in secondary forest of the southern sector of the farm and one in the forest northern sector. Where besides the structure and floristic composition were analyzed, the species diversity, the distribution pattern of vegetation species and ecological value of the species. The analysis in the four sampling units revealed that forests are highly diverse, exhibiting 1519 individuals, 182 species, 110 genus and 57 families, 101 species are uniform distributed with few representatives , and greater wealth , higher density and dominance ,were considered as aggregate distribution or tendency to cluster. Regarding the ecological value, all species were considered important, since part of the successional dynamics of the forest. The information obtained from this research will serve as a support of the conservation and preservation of tree species and maintenance ecosystem for secondary similar forest.
