Os serviços de proteção à mulher contra violência intrafamiliar atendidas no CREAM em Manaus - Amazonas

Abstract

Domestic violence against women is still a complex phenomenon, going beyond the family and extending to various sectors of society. Thus, this research focuses on the analysis of the services for the protection of women against domestic violence, provided by the multidisciplinary team that works at the State Center for Reference and Support to Women - CREAM in Manaus, State of Amazonas, as it is part of the preventive public policies. The objectives of this research are: to evaluate the CREAM provides services to protect women against domestic violence provided by CREAM in Manaus, to identify the types of violence suffered by the women assisted, to analyze the possible causes of violence and the services offered by the professionals, to investigate the treatment given to aggressors and to examine the effectiveness of the articulation of the CREAM technical team with the Network to Combat Domestic and Family Violence against Women. The theoretical-methodological path of the research involved a bibliographic, documental approach with qualitative contributions, without excluding quantitative data, where its collection took place from field research, having as locus the CREAM, as it is an equipment that is part of the network to combat violence against women in Manaus. To achieve the proposed objectives, a semi-structured interview was used as a research instrument with 10 (ten) female victims of domestic violence who are assisted at CREAM and 05 (five) professionals who work at CREAM, being 02 (two) social workers, one from each shift, 01 (one) psychologist, 01 (one) lawyer and 01 (one) pedagogue. All these subjects are identified by fictitious names in order to meet the ethical criteria of the research. Regarding the multiple results presented, the study points out several specialized services offered in a single piece of equipment, the importance of the protective network, the obstacles of some services, the lack of other services for the effectiveness of network articulations. It was also verified the unequal relations of power linked in the intra-family sphere against women, which lead to different forms of violence practiced by the male subject against the female subject. The results of the survey reveal significant data on the care provided by the CREAM team, the dynamics of violence against women, and the services needed to address them. Research into the treatment of offenders and adjustment services of violent behavior, provided crucial information about the cycle of violence suffered by women and the strategies to break them. The emphasis on holding perpetrators accountable is key to preventing the recurrence of violence and promoting healthy relationships. In which it points out the sociocultural configurations, which are permeated by conflicts of socially constructed roles, under a patriarchal, sexist and capitalist aegis. Unveiling oppressions, embarrassing dominations where women are inserted, in public and domestic listening, in which their tormentors are mostly their companions. It is noteworthy that social media have become informative vectors regarding the typifications of violence and submissions of women in their intra-family relationships. In which, among the causes that lead women to remain or be submissive to men is financial dependence, leading them to remain in conflicting coexistence with their aggressors, because of the psychological violence they suffer on a daily basis. It is concluded that public policies are insufficient for the high demand for care at CREAM, and for this reason several services end up being focused and segmented when they are offered by some professionals. However, it is important to highlight the lack of human resources and the overload of the professionals who work in CREAM, because, despite the fact that there are laws that criminalize any violence against women, there is still a long way to go, especially by professionals who are not prepared to work in the equipment, offering quality of access and provision of concrete services, without weakening the attempts to break the vicious cycle of violence that many women are still subjected to.
