O ENADE constrói pontes ou edifica muros? Uma leitura da formação profissional em Serviço Social no Amazonas

Resumo

Professional training in Social Work aims to provide the construction of professional profiles aligned with the professional project that is directed, in general, to understanding and critical intervention in the face of the expressions of the social issue of capitalist society, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the training and observation of the means adopted for its evaluation so that it is observed whether there is coherence and real contribution to the formative process. Thus, the research had as its general objective: to analyze the evaluation of professional training in Social Work through the National Student Performance Exam (ENADE), with an emphasis on the appreciation given to courses existing in the State of Amazonas in the various editions of this evaluation instrument, in order to contribute to the improvement of the evaluation process. For this, the specific objectives were to problematize the adoption of ENADE as a means of evaluating training in Social Work; evaluate the contents of ENADE's tests based on the foundations of professional training in Social Work; and to identify the assessment given to professional training in Social Work in Amazonas from the perspective of ENADE. Bibliographic and documentary research was carried out, under a mixed approach approach (which encompasses both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the object), of an explanatory nature, under the direction of the critical-dialectic method. The essential materials for the analysis were the ENADE tests, the laws that regulate the exam and the curricular guidelines for Social Service training, as well as the area reports and of each institution that offers the Amazonas Social Service course, allowing that, through these last documents, we could visualize the students' mastery over the training contents based on the successes and errors in the tests, and the knowledge of the profile of the students participating in the exam. In order to capture data from documents, the techniques of document analysis and content analysis were adopted, which enabled the knowledge of their structure and organization, as well as of their intentionalities. In view of this, it was identified that ENADE is insufficient to evaluate professional training, here in question the training in Social Work, representing reductionism when conducted without articulation with the other proposals brought by SINAES (internal and external evaluation, with on-site visit, reaching students, teachers and administrative-technicians, among others), but, on the other hand, with regard to their performance exam function, it allows approximation of the knowledge obtained by students during graduation.
