Entre tensionamentos e disputas: família, religião e o processo de se assumir entre jovens de uma igreja inclusiva de Manaus

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to discuss the links between homosexuality, religion , family and youth, from ethnographic research conducted with the Igreja Apostólica da Renovação Inclusiva ( IARI ), the city of Manaus. The IARI brings together people, predominantly young , not heterosexuals, arising from families belonging to traditional evangelical churches, which after the process to take as homosexuals were disconnected or hung from their home churches, seeking a reinterpretation of his religiosity in IARI and the possibility of carrying out their sexuality. In this perspective, discusses the negotiations of family acceptance amid the process of assuming that often generates a break that separates the subject from their families and their religion of origin.
