Resumo

The research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Amazonas, linked to the "Educator's Training and Praxis Facing the Amazon Challenges" line, aims to understand how knowledge about the cognitive processes of emotion can pedagogical mediation of the continuous training of teachers of the Semed-Manaus Pedagogical Block. It is guided by the methodical perspective of critical hermeneutics, coined by Paul Ricoeur (1983, 1978, 1977), who assisted in the construction and interpretation of data, such as documentary research, field observation and interviews carried out in the context of continuing teacher education of the SEMED / Manaus DDPM Pedagogical Block. It is based in the fields of Cognitive Science and Cognitive Neuroscience, mainly in the work of A. Damásio (1996, 2000, 2011, 2018). From this research results the understanding that the cognitive processes of emotions and feelings act by mobilizing other cognitive resources indispensable to learning, such as attention and memory. Given what Damasio proposes, we are assuming that learning happens as a passage from experience to experience mediated by valence, that is, the value of the object of experience for the learner. We verified that the teacher training of the Pedagogical Block has numerous fragilities and contradictions between the objectives informed in the documents and the practices developed with the teachers. We conclude that it is more profitable to pedagogical mediations that structure the content of the formations in order to allow the dialogue and integration with the individual and social subjectivities of the teachers. The subject who works should be a recursive point of dialogue about the teaching work. However, the work indicates that this understanding encounters political and economic obstacles that intervene to legitimize and maintain the current pattern of professional development of teachers in the municipal public education network.
