Comportamento agronômico de novas copas de laranjeiras para a citricultura amazonense

Resumo

In the state of Amazonas, the Sweet Orange 'Pêra' is traditionally cultivated on the Rangpur lime tree. The significant reduction of the genetic base due to the restricted use of a single scion and rootstock combination has facilitated an increase in the vulnerability of local orchards, especially with regard to biotic and abiotic factors with the possibility of negatively interfering with both productivity and fruit quality and sustainability. state citrus. The expansion of the number of orange cultivars becomes a viable alternative to overcome such problems, including the use of new rootstocks. Thus, 30 combinations with 10 crowns and 3 rootstocks were evaluated in the sixth and seventh year after planting the seedlings in the field in the municipality of Rio Preto da Eva, AM. The variables evaluated were: Production, productivity, fruit weight, diameter, length, juice yield, soluble solids, pH, titratable acidity, ratio and technological index. The combinations that showed the highest productivity were 'Pineapple' and Laranja 'Lima' scions with the tangerine rootstocks Sunki Tropical and BRS Bravo. The combinations that showed the best quality of the fruit were Laranja 'Lima' with the three rootstocks, and the crowns 'Pineapple' and 'Valência Tuxpan' with BRS Bravo. These combinations are alternatives for the diversification of orchards in the state of Amazonas.
