Logospirataria na Amazônia Legal

Abstract

This thesis discusses the occurrence of logospirataria in the Brazilian Amazon and their predatory impacts in the region. In this sense, it seeks to answer the following questions: What is meant by logospirataria? What are the impacts of logospirataria in the Legal Amazon? Visa, thus, formulate the concept of logospirataria, contextualize its incidence in the Brazilian Amazon and assess the main impacts in the region, considering the traditional populations and biodiversity. Therefore, we tried to investigate the logospirataria occurrences in the Amazon at different times, since colonization, revealed in studies and academic research about the past in the Amazon, as well as in representative characters and records of their time, and also in reports and narratives observed by regional historiography. In addition to that, researches have been done on current data and records, present in anthropological, sociological, legal and institutional work of official bodies and NGO's on the region, as well as legal conventions about the Amazon. The dialogue between social science disciplines is relevant epistemological resource to deal with problems arising from logospirataria thesis in the Amazon. In terms of results, we formulated the concept of logospirataria, strictly corresponding to violation of the rules, in the form of laws designed to protect legally indigenous peoples, traditional populations, the national society and the actual unauthorized practice of state ownership or misuse of genetic resources, traditional knowledge associated with biodiversity and irregular exploitation of human labor by precarious or similar relationship to slavery. In broad sense, based on the understanding of the Heraclitean logos as a complexus logos, the logospirataria is a disintegrative process of cultures, destructuring people, plunderer of nature and knowledge, annihilating populations, constituting a striking offense against biodiversity and socio-cultural diversity, neither foreseen nor typified in Brazil,however. It was concluded, then, that logospirataria goes beyond the concept of biopiracy or piracy, violation of a set of assets and rights. Offends labor rights, compensation rights of indigenous societies, traditional peoples and national society. The Amazon continues to be an attractive scenario to logospiratas interests, especially considering the context of globalization and increasing scarcity of natural resources and biodiversity. At the end, proposals have been made in order to adopt some measures to prevent and cope with logospirataria.
