Resumo

The present research has proposed assess the management adopted on TNF in the city of Belterra-PA according to the perception of the residents. To this end, a survey was conducted of exploratory, initially, for a literature review on the topic and then was carried out field research, by means of a qualitative and quantitative approach, data collection instrument applying questionnaires/interviews Maguari community residents. The 152 interviews were conducted through several visits to community participation in meetings with the Maguari community. The profile of respondents was of workers, with the majority aged 26 to 40 years old, married, with monthly income of one to three minimum wages and with elementary school. The majority of the target group is native, with a residence time of 2 to 74 years and 43% confirmed that their financial situations have improved after the creation of the TNF. The Organization of community and small-scale producers in the process of negotiation and implementation of participatory management is through several community associations and inter-community. One of the residents interviewed, 85% Maguari community claim, from a personal standpoint, that the management of the Flona Tapajos is efficient and 76% believe that the local population is under this management. They also confirmed that the villagers realize such efficacy of Tnf in the Maguari Community. The degree of adoption of effective management in the TNF, 51% said it was good. The majority of respondents (92%) recognizes that there are limits regarding use of natural resources within the Maguari Community. It is well known, the residents, that such limitations are in brushed, on withdrawal of wood, on the hunt, in the creation of certain animals such as oxen or pigs, fishing and you can't get anything without permission of those responsible. After creating Flona, the quality of life of the residents of the community Maguari can be improved, according to 67% of respondents and 18% say there are shortcomings in projects deployed and which does not meet the needs of residents. With the management deployed on Tnf, the community has improved a bit, according to 40% of the residents interviewed. These stated that courses, trainings and meetings are missing activities for the community Maguari. The residents feel the need of professional qualification courses, they are more informed about what happens in relation to the Tnf and, mainly, which involves the Maguari Community. The majority suggested that the present management seek more partnerships with educational institutions and created a better model of management with more sustainability. The interventions performed on the TNF occur through numerous projects and programs directed to the change in behavior of the residents of Maguari regarding the preservation and conservation of the environment, but the management model adopted by the Tapajós national forest still leaves something to be desired, according to the perception of the residents of the community, even with a management plan exists.
