Assistência social: uma análise sobre as condições de vida dos usuários referenciados pelo CRAS Terra Nova em Manaus

e disparities in the distribution of income and the social inequality evidenced in the Brazilian territory cannot be understood only in the content of their effects of the reality that we see today, but from a socio-historical construction - of a country considered underdeveloped not as a stage, but as a condition - which gradually directly affects the living conditions of populations, considering their particularities, especially families who experience situations of social vulnerabilities in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas, located in the north of the country, especially those who are in a situation of extreme poverty. In this sense, the Social Assistance policy in the Brazilian reality was recommended in the Federal Constitution of 1988, aiming to face the situations of poverty experienced by poor families, through their levels of protection. In this sense, this study had the general objective: To analyze the living conditions of users monitored by the Social Assistance Reference Center - CRAS Terra Nova. To this end, the specific objectives were limited to: Presenting the living conditions of the Brazilian population, focusing on the northern region of the country; Raise Social Assistance actions within the scope of Basic Social Protection in Manaus; Knowing how CRAS Terra Nova users live in terms of their needs; Reflect on the impacts of the Social Assistance policy on the lives of the monitored users. The study has a qualitative approach as methodology, with documental research and its results, which show the main data disclosed, through the Management Report, Monthly Activity Reports - RMA/SAGI, Handbook, among others made available by the Municipal Women's Department, Social Assistance and Human Rights – SEMMASDH of users referenced in CRAS Terra Nova. As for the results, it was identified that the basic social protection equipment is insufficient to welcome, assist and monitor users in the area covered by CRAS Terra Nova, which receives demands that reside mostly in neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city of Manaus, being in social vulnerability surviving in precarious conditions in their daily lives. Thus, this study sought to contribute to discussions on the subject, as well as to inform society about Social Assistance users, providing data that can guide the actions of the Public Power through social policies that enable the social development of these users.
