Resumo

The sedimentometric balance is essential to understand the dynamics of a channel, which makes it possible to determine the main control factors of a basin. The objective of this study was to characterize the flow of Sediments in Suspension of the Rio Negro Basin, does not have large amounts of sediment, but has a flow from the Rio Branco in its lower course. To make the sedimentometric balance of the Rio Negro Basin, data on elevation, discharge, Suspended Material (MES) and physicochemical (pH and Electrical Conductivity) from different data sources were used. The results showed that blackwater rivers transport a large amount of organic matter and little suspended material, which are more acidic waters, with electrical conductivity around 8 to 10 μS/cm. On the other hand, in white water rivers, the annual concentration of MES is around 36.2 mg/l, with a more neutral pH and more accentuated electrical conductivit
