Estranhezas e impasses no campo religioso manauara: um estudo de caso de duas igrejas Neopentecostais

Abstract

This dissertation aims to analyze the process of disputes by believers, promoted between the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD) and the International Church of the Grace of God (IIGD), religious denominations Neopentecostal, that are installed in the district of Educandos in City of Manaus, State of Amazonas. The analysis was oriented to problematization of the performance of these denominations in the religious market, of this public sphere, seeking implicit and explicit evidences, that is, strangeness and impasses of this conflict, contained in the religious dynamics, from the social relations present in the adhesion of the believer and their reverberations in the urban space of the city of Manaus. Based on ethnography, we seek to construct data that allow an analysis capable of explaining its reflection in the educand social mirror marked by disputes and conflicts around the legitimacy of religious proposals.
