Perfil sociodemográfico, clínico e epidemiológico das crianças internadas em um Hospital Universitário em Belém-Pará

Abstract

This study had for objective to describe the clinical and epidemic profile of the clientele of the pediatric clinic of the João de Barros Barreto Academical Hospital in the period of August to November of 2012. The conceptual bases are of the epidemiology and of the pediatric nursing. It is a study of the observational and descriptive type, of traverse cut, with analysis the light of the descriptive statistics methods, which guide the description and the presentation in tables. The place of the research was the João de Barros Barreto Academical Hospital. In the study they were researched 97 handbooks of children interned in writing by consent of your responsible. The obtained data were tabulated through the program Microsoft Excel and the whole statistical processing took place under the support computational of the software Epi-info, being the results presented in tables and critical analysis of the results. The results: the companion's responsible and/or sex that prevailed was the feminine with 89,69% (87), and 87,6% (85) they were the mothers. With relationship to the patients' sex that you/they interned, 53,6% (52) of the internments they were children of the masculine sex; the age group between an and five years with 38,10% (37). With relationship to the pathologies found in AIHs, the prevalence of the visceral leishmania was observed, with 16,49% (16) followed by the pneumonia with 15,46% (15) and the bacterial meningitis with 11,34% (11) cases. In relation to the time of internment, it was verified that 39,77% of the children stayed interned by a period understood among seven to fourteen days. The investigation demonstrates the all it is important the knowledge of the data of the child's clinical and epidemic profile for the nursing and for the hospital administration, because to leave of those results the male nurse he/she can plan an appropriate care for child, as well as the accompaniment in the clinic, since 60,4% (58) of the children they received high for us to give continuity to the ambulatory treatment.
