Efeito do conteúdo da poli(o-metoxianilina) – POMA sobre a estrutura e as propriedades elétricas do compósito Na2Ti3O7/Na2Ti6O13-POMA

Resumo

In this work, a new class of polymer-ceramic composites (Na2Ti3O7/Na2Ti6O13/POMA– NT/POMA) was obtained and reported. The main objective is to evaluate the influence of the poly(o-methoxyaniline) - POMA polymer content on the structural and electrical properties of the sodium titanates ceramics (Na2Ti3O7/Na2Ti6O13). Sodium titanates samples were synthesized via sonochemical method and POMA, by conventional chemical polymerization. The Rietveld refinement of sodium titanates diffractograms showed a 50 % mixture of sodium trititanate (Na2Ti3O7) and sodium hexatitanate (Na2Ti6O13) phases, while the diffractograms of the ceramic-polymeric composites NT/POMA indicated the presence of hydrogen titanates (H2Ti5O11.H2O e H2Ti3O7) as a result of the interaction with POMA. Raman, Fourier-transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy analyzes are also used to reveal the presence of POMA in the mixture of sodium titanates. Finally, the electrical analysis by Complex Impedance reveals a significant reduction in resistivity and relaxation time with the polymer content increase. The sample with 50% POMA showed the lowest value of electrical resistance (2.8 x 104Ω) and a relaxation time of 0.016 s. Finally, it was possible to state that the POMA introduction in the ceramic matrix of sodium titanates promotes a reduction in the resistive behavior of the NT/POMA composites, making them promising for applications such as solid-state electrolytes for batteries.
