Uma análise de conteúdo de livros didáticos de alfabetização do 1º e 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental da rede municipal de educação de Manaus-Am: qual o potencial emancipador?

Resumo

The main objective of this work was to investigate the emancipatory potential of Portuguese language textbooks for the 1st and 2nd years of elementary school used by the municipal education network of Manaus through a qualitative textbook content analysis model. The theme is relevant, as it takes into account that the textbook is used daily by teachers and students as a guiding tool for the theoretical and methodological standards that are adopted during the school year and thus manifests the school culture, curriculum and contents stipulated by the education system, as well as influences the education of students. In view of this, this research sought to answer What is the emancipatory potential of the textbooks analyzed and also the type of citizen to be formed from them? In search of the answers to this question, this study established three specific objectives: 1) to describe the PNLD itinerary in the educational context and the impact of the 2019 PNA on the 2023 public notice; 2) to highlight the ideological, cognitive and citizen dimensions of the literacy of this didactic material using a conceptual modeling of qualitative content analysis of textbooks; 3) identify the profile of the citizen that is intended to be formed based on the pedagogical guidelines of the teacher's books. As a result, the research pointed out that the content of the textbooks evaluated is not favorable to the development of an emancipatory literacy, in addition to showing that its pedagogical orientations are aimed at the personally responsible citizen, which is the most basic type of citizen addressed by Westheimer and Kahne (2004).
