Resumo
This study sought the desire to know the Social Representation of users of a
Psychosocial Care Center and aimed to analyze the programmatic and institutional
routine of a CAPS, from representational elements about the nursing care in the
users perspective of the service, It was theoretically supported by the Theory of
Social Representations of Serge Moscovici, which is presented as "a form of socially
developed and shared knowledge with a practical purpose, and that contributes to
the construction of a common reality to a social group." To support data collection,
the study had a qualitative approach and as a method the case study (Yin, 2010).
The interview with semi-structured script was used as a data collection technique. It
had as a study site the Psychosocial Care Center Maria Ferreira de Moura, located in
the city of Coari, inside the Amazon, with a sample of 30 users. The study was
submitted to the Ethics Committee on Human Research, respecting the rules of
Resolution 466/2012, under the advice of CAEE number 36934714.3.00005020. As
for financial support, a scholarship in the strict sense modality for masters students
was implemented, granted by the Higher Education Personnel Improvement
Coordination. To analyze the content of the interviews it was adopted the
methodology described by Laurence Bardin (2011). As of results achieved by the
content analysis technique, three categories were defined: 1) Therapeutic pathway,
2) Structure of service and 3) Nursing and health caring, which where subdivided into
subcategories: 1.1) The invisible wanderers of mental health services; 1.2) Exams
versus uncertainties; 1.3) The fragmentation between body and mind; 2.1) Physical
structure; 2.2) Professional technical staff; 2.3) CAPS as a place of possibilities and
(re) discoveries; 3.1) The invisibility of nursing in the CAPS and 3.2) A technical
vision of the professional nurse. Therefore, it is concluded that it was possible to
understand what the social representation of users is like and thus better understand
the caring routine in their representations and complexities because as from the
understanding of users, it was possible to trace possible interventions and best
practices in caring of mental health of the population.
