Produção e validação de tecnologia cuidativo - educacional sobre cuidados na prevenção de traumas na pessoa idosa no contexto domiciliar

Abstract

The objective of this study was to produce and validate a Care-Educational Technology, a booklet type, on the prevention of trauma in the elderly in the home context. This is a quantitative approach. The production stage was based on the scientific evidence gathered through an Integrative Literature Review (RIL) and the validation stage was carried out with the participation of 13 specialist judges, 9 health area and 4 other areas responsible for evaluating the content of the booklet construct and the participation of 5 elderly people and 5 family members enrolled in the Health Care Program of the Elderly (PROASI), who evaluated the semantic part of the technology. These participants answered an evaluation questionnaire with closed questions, with room for suggestions and comments. For statistical analysis, the items that were obtained in the answers were considered validated, a concordance greater than or equal to 70% between expert judges and target audiences. At the end, the content validity index (IVC) was established and should be equal to or greater than 80%. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 16, was used for statistical descriptive analysis of the data. The primer was about the occurrence of the most common trauma mechanisms in elderly people and their respective preventive care in the home context related to falls, burns and personal injury. Regarding the quantitative analysis, the results show the validation of the booklet by the expert judges with content validity index IVC = 92.53% and concordance index by elderly people CI = 98.18% and of the relatives CI = 97,20%, reinforcing the design of validation of the primer in all its aspects. The analysis of the suggestions and comments of the expert judges generated three thematic focuses: the booklet and its purposes; structuration and textual readability, layout and general evaluation. . It is hoped that the booklet produced and validated here may arouse the interest of the Public Health organs for their preparation, distribution and use, free of charge, in the basic health units, Family Health Strategy, organizations and entities related to gerontology and geriatrics in favor of raising the quality of life of the elderly person, especially the Amazonian ones.
