Objective: To map scientific evidence on the social support network for long-lived older adults living at home. Method: A scoping review conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The search was carried out in seven databases, one electronic library, and two sources of grey literature. Data extraction was performed using a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet, and the protocol was registered in the Open Science Framework (DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/AYD8S ). Results: Ten studies were included, comprising six scientific articles, two theses, and two dissertations. The support networks identified were predominantly informal, mainly composed of family, friends, and neighbors. The most frequent types of support were emotional, instrumental, material, and social interaction. Conclusion: Social support networks are fundamental to the well-being of long-lived elderly people, highlighting the need for greater articulation between informal support and formal health services.
