Contribuição da educação física escolar para a promoção da saúde e bem-estar: uma revisão bibliográfica

Resumo

School Physical Education plays a fundamental role in promoting the health and well-being of students, contributing to the development of healthy habits and the formation of a culture that values physical activity. By engaging students in regular exercise, Physical Education promotes not only improved physical fitness, but also the development of social and emotional skills, such as cooperation, respect and discipline. These classes also provide moments of leisure and relaxation, relieving stress and promoting emotional balance. Furthermore, regular physical activity contributes to the prevention of chronic diseases and improves students' quality of life, preparing them for a more active and healthy life. The objective of this study is to analyze the contribution of school Physical Education to promoting students' health and well-being, using a literature review as a methodology. Through a narrative review, it was possible to identify the main benefits of this discipline in the student's comprehensive training, highlighting the importance of a pedagogical approach that promotes not only physical, but also mental and social development.
