Análise temporal do Programa Nacional de Rastreio do Câncer do Colo do Útero em um município do Amazonas

Resumo

Objective: To carry out a temporal analysis of the National Cervical Cancer Screening Program in a municipality in the state of Amazonas, from 2017 to 2022. Methods: This is an epidemiological, temporal, quantitative and retrospective study. Data was collected from the following databases: DATASUS/SISCAN. The study object was cervical cytopathology exams of women living in the municipality of Coari, Amazonas. Results: 21,338 cytopathological exams were recorded, 85.10% of which were carried out in the target age group. The interval of one year between cytopathological exams was the most frequent, corresponding to 48,89% of exams. The main reason for having a cervical cytopathology test was screening, which accounted for 99.48% of the tests. Most of the cytopathology test slides were classified as satisfactory, corresponding to 97.46% of all tests. Four cases of CC were recorded. Conclusion: This study showed that cytopathological screening of women living in the municipality of Coari has achieved a higher level of performance in terms of preventive examinations for CC in recent years. In addition, it showed the interference of the covid-19 pandemic on the performance of cervical cytopathology tests.
