Waldemar Henrique na escola: as lendas amazônicas como recurso para a educação musical

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the processes and outcomes of applying music education activities based on Amazonian legends and songs from the "Amazonian Legends" series by Waldemar Henrique. These activities were developed in a 7th-grade class of elementary school in the city of Manaus during the year 2022 as part of the professional master's program in Art - ProfArtes. This research falls within the realm of learning and creative processes in the arts. It presents data and analyses through qualitative research and action research methods. Through the implementation and observation of these activities, the importance of regional cultural themes in the music education process becomes evident. As a result, a booklet titled "Tale & Song" was created, along with the development of a website for providing pedagogical-musical support materials related to the researched theme, intended for use by elementary school Art teachers.
