Resumo
Children's literature books are important educational resources that are used in both the school and home environment, and which enable the development of oral reading fluency through constant reading practice. However, the expansion of the publishing market has made it possible to mass-produce different models of children's books, which often don't keep up with the stages of the student's school development. For this reason, this research explores issues such as the reading acquisition process, the structure of books according to the school stage, the contributions of cognitive neuroscience to reading, the choice of typography and book design, with the aim of developing an interactive children's literature book for readers-in-progress and contributing to the exercise of reading. For this purpose, an adapted design methodology by Hans Gugelot and Guto Lins is used, mixing theoretical and scientific foundations for the product's conception. It is hoped that this research will contribute to oral reading and stimulate interest in reading among children.
