Resumo
This research presents a historical-political review of Brazilian education, some
historical moments, the impacts on educational policies and the philosophies of
science involved are studied, with the objective of understanding the process that led
to the construction and implementation of a Common National Curriculum Base. We
seek to establish parallels with the epistemic thoughts of science and analyze the
type of science that the Base intends to teach, as there is no clarity on this point in
the normative documents that reformulated the structure of high school, and that
impact the teaching and learning process in the sciences from nature. The research
was qualitative, an exploratory-investigative documentary study of historical data and
education documents. It was noticed that the Base is loaded with positive aspects of
science, but there are points that are more open to different views, not favoring a
more critical science teaching.
