Um problema contextualizado: análise da série harmônica

Abstract

This work brings a contextualized question used in calculus and physics books, math magazines, technical issues, also found in exams to Access Brazilian universities and external institutions. Mathematics will be presented not only as a pure analytical discipline, but as na interdisciplinary support tool. This classic problem of physics provoked a great repercussion in the community of the most prolific and enlightened mathematicians. This historical context is currently used as na exercise of didactic discipline in the construction of learning and knowledge. The purpose of contextualization isto help in setting the basic concepts of term overlooked or neglected in the classroom. It also aims to consolidate a base of support for educators, since a research was carried out in the most diverse literature available.
