Avaliação estratégica da qualidade: um estudo de caso de uma construtora de médio porte do ramo imobiliário

Abstract

The quality management programs applied to the civil construction sector, mainly in the last decade, were preponderant to the technical progress and to increase their competitive capacity, considering the global environment existent today. Therefore, this study has the objectives to value the quality systems NBR ISO 9001:2000 and PBQP-H’ performance implanted in business firm of civil construction, located in Manaus City, Amazonas State, identifing also, through a qualitative and quantitative research, the main changes and benefits originated from the implantation of the quality systems, and how this system influences the strategic management of the core business. The research showed that the quality management provides a valuable information to the decision making process, improving the productivity and the quality of the final product.
