Motivos da participação e desinteresse nas aulas práticas de educação física no ensino médio do município de Nhamundá/AM

Resumo

The lack of interest of students in practical Physical Education classes in high school is a constant within the Brazilian educational context and the municipality of Nhamundá, especially in practical classes, is not oblivious to this reality. However, it is not known for sure what the factors behind this lack of interest are. We understand and knowing these factors will enable the school's pedagogical team, and especially the physical education teachers, to seek ways to intervene in this scenario and reverse it - making high school physical education classes more populous, meeting the objectives of this discipline while curricular component. The objective of this research is to investigate the factors that lead to students' lack of interest in Physical Education classes in high school. More specifically, the aim is to identify the reasons that lead students to become unmotivated and disinterested in practical Physical Education classes and to compare the level of disinterest of these students between the secondary education levels. This study was carried out in three stages: In the first stage, a meeting was held with school management to clarify the objectives of the research and obtain authorization to carry it out by signing the consent form. In the second stage, we sent envelopes to those responsible, containing the anamnesis form and the ICF. This sample recruitment stage began after observation to ensure that both students and teachers were unaware of the research objectives and did not compromise the expected results. In the third and final stage, students who were duly authorized by their guardians and who agreed to participate in the study by signing the ICF were invited to complete the questionnaire. The results indicate that 57% of students participate in Physical Education classes to earn the grade assigned by the teacher. The factors that lead to students' lack of interest in Physical Education classes in high school refer to demotivation, with 32%, added to the repetitive content developed during classes (football, volleyball, dodgeball), with 30%. It is concluded that it is necessary to go beyond the mandatory discipline, developing more diversified classes, covering traditional sports and other physical activities that can be related to the student's daily life inside and outside school, stimulating their well-being and enjoyment of practice of Physical Education.
